| Just want to say a big thank you to everyone in advance for all the interest in this years NYE party. Over the last two days over 9,000 people have visited the site with over 80,000 page views. Those are record numbers for our little piece of the world wide web. We are now booking the 4th group floor (floors 6,7,8, and9) at the host hotel which means this is shaping up to be a great NYE party. Thanks to everyone who has assisted in putting this NYE party together and to all those who are going to ring in the New Year with DesirousParty at the Ritz. Get your rest in today as tonight we are going to PARTY!!!!!!! |
| We will keep the pre-pay open until 3pm on NYE day. At that time pre-pay will be closed. You may then pay at the club on NYE. For those who did the pre-pay option. Ms. Monica will have the pre-pay vip list at the front door. Just bring in your confirmation receipt and or your I.D. that matches the confirmation. We will be doing two lines to get everyone in clickly. Dinner will be served until 10pm for those wishing to eat. There are no reservations so please get there early if you wish prime seating in the main two rooms downstairs. The vip second floor will also be open to everyone for those wishing to take advantage of the group couch seating there. You DP hosts will also be at the hotel bar meet n greet so dont hesitate to stop us with any questions that you might have. |
| Okay here is the latest on the Hotel room count. We are currently at 79 rooms. The group will be on floors 7,8 and 9. They have blocked off floors 5 and 6 for the group also and should start booking those floors today. Only DP NYE party guests will be on these floors. If someone accidently booked outside of our group block. Just request the group block when you get to the hotel and you will be placed on the party floors. The hotel is prepared for our group this year and they will continue to take hotel reservations up to the event. Soooooooo is anyone getting into the party mode yet. This NYE is going to rock!!!!! |
| Forgot to mention this tidbit of information as many of the new party guests have been asking. There will be no club dancers on NYE. The stages, cages and dance floors are for DesirousParty NYE party guests only. We have the entire club to ourselves. So ladies its all yours if you so desire. |
| We have been getting quite a few emails concerning NYE. You do not have to be a member of DesirousParty to attend the NYE party. There will be a lot of new party guests with us this year and everyone is ready to mix, mingle and meet new friends. The NYE party starts at 4pm at the hotel bar on NYE for the meet n greet. Its a great icebreaker, a chance to make new acquaintences and just get your drink on before the Limo's arrive. Plus everyone will be roaming the hallways before the party cranks off. So no worries as all are welcome and we are going to close out 2008 with a bang. |
| I always forget to mention this all important detail. You will be able to check your coat at the door with the door girl when you get to the club. Thanks for the excellent question that every lady has been wondering about. |
| Your DP hosts did a walk through at the club this afternoon. The entire club is already decked out in NYE decor. The only thing left is adding the glitter confetti, adding the balloons for the midnight balloon drop and DJ Red taking the main stage. The club has gone all out this year with their decorations and remodeling inside. Their mission was to give the party guests a full NYE party experience and they have done so with the preparation. This is going to be a NYE party like none other and thank you for all the interest this year. |
| Just a little update, website traffic is through the roof. Referrals from Google and Yahoo are 3x what they normally are, and its all from people searching for Houston New Years Parties, and related stuff. DP is one of the top listings on google for this. Expect a huge walk up crowd. |
OK last update.... The block is now reopened and we actually gave up our cheaper rate just to ensure we get to party with all you sexy sons of bitches!!! :)

| Okay we are all good at the hotel. Reservation department made a mistake and was showing our group rate expired. We have a open group block and reservations are still being taken either by calling in or using the reservation link which can be found in the party info on the main page. So just use the code when you call in and you will be placed in NYE group block. |
| I have a phone call into our hotel contact who did the group contract with us. I was told that the group block would be kept open through NYE. Thanks for the info and we will get everyone on our group floors. |
FYI... We just booked our reservation at the Marriott a few minutes ago. We could no longer get the group rate, but they currently have a prepay rate of $89.99 if you ask for it. (actually a little cheaper than the group rate) The catch is there is no garauntee they will be able to put you with the group. |
| Just a reminder on the hotel Limo's. We will have one normal stretch limo and also a hummer stretch limo. The first will arrive at the host hotel at 745pm and the second will be there at 8pm. We will take all the guests to the club until around 11ish and then we will station both limos at the club for the returning guests. If you come dowstairs at the hotel and do not see a Limo. Just let the front desk know and they will call one of the drivers for you. |
| Yes, it is the nice hotel with all the rooms running in a large square with the atrium being in the middle. You can pretty much see every room on your floor from your doorway. |

| Wellllllll, we did promise to add another nice little surprise to the NYE package. DesirousParty was started for parties and group trips. Of course alcohol goes hand in hand with both of those and we have that covered. So the only thing left is the trip portion of the combination. Dream Pleasure Tours contacted us this evening and they have given us 3 days/ 2 nights to give away to Hedonism III in Jamaica. This will be for our group trip in July. The trip is all inclusive with all meals,drinks and lodging included. All you need to do is purchase your airfare and bring your party attitude. So be sure to grab your raffle tickets at the door because just perhaps DJ Red will be calling your number to come and obtain a nice gift basket full of liquid goodies or a little getaway to the Caribbean. |
| We promised to add more party amenieties and we are doing so. When you arrive at the club be sure to get a raffle ticket (2 per couple). During the evening we will be giving away gift baskets and not stuff that you would never use or hide in a closet. Because we will be giving away assorted alcohol gift baskets which are sponsored by Ty-Ku. The perfect gift to take back to the hotel for all the after parties. Plus LoveVooDoo.com has given us two-one year memberships to give away to their site. So two of those gift baskets will have a extra little surprise as well. We are still working on a few other surprises to add to the prize list as well. So stay tuned. |
| Just got the latest room update. We are at 70 rooms which leave us a little of the 3rd floor left. This is shaping up to be another great NYE hotel block. |
| The current Hotel room count is at 65 rooms. The Marriott has agreed to extend the reservation deadline which was the 24th. They will continue to accept reservations and will be expanding the group block to the 4th floor if necessary until NYE day. We would only suggest to reserve your room earlier rather than later. As the fourth floor may only get partially reserved with the first 3 floors being totally sold out. We only say that as some wish to be amongst the meeting, greeting and partying. The Marriott also does not have any other groups in house on NYE. So we will have these floors to ourselves. We are also enclosing the link for the photographer on NYE. Be sure to log on and check out their images as they will be bringing a unique set up that will provide for some great NYE pics.
