Soap Box We are moving to a new Server

| DP will go down tonight at midnight Central time. Estimated down time will be from 1 - 2 hours as I migrate the files to the new server. |
| We are in the process of moving to a Dedicated Server. Once we are fully moved you should notice the entire website running much faster. However since the website has so many members, that stay active 24 /7, its difficult to fully transfer everything without loosing some data. The only way to ensure all data is fully transferred without any data loss, is to shut down the website, then transfer all members pictures and the database. This will result in up to an hour of downtime. I will try to make sure the transfer happens early in the morning when traffic is lower. Once the site has been tranferred many of you may need to flush your DNS cache to ensure you are getting the new IP of the server. Else if you wait on your computer, it may be up to 48 hours before it auto flush's the DNS cache. I am in the process of moving the site right now. I will keep everyone informed on this thread. |
