Soap Box Updates, Additions and Improvements
| We are currently re-designing the home page. If you logged on over the weekend you will notice that this is the second trial version of the homepage. Once we find the layout that flows nicely we will be adding additional features to the homepage. As mentioned earlier the events page has been redesigned and you now different options on rsvping for events. Just keeping everyone up to date on what we are doing. |
| Over the next several weeks we are going to being making some improvements to our current design, adding some additions to our current design and just giving everything a little tweek here and there. The site traffic and new members have grown by record numbers over the last six months and we want to say thank you to everyone for spreading the word. So basically its time to put a fresh coat of paint on our house and make some improvements that the members have been asking for. 1. We have already updated the events page. When you click on a event you will now have the option to click on yes or maybe as to whether you will be attending the event. Plus you will now be able to tell how many members and also how many visitors have looked at the event. This is separated in two categories. This is important as on some events we pull 20 or 30 member couples out to a event but double that amount in visitor couples will attend the event. As not everyone has a DP membership but they still attend the events. This now gives everyone a more accurate feel for the event. note: For the March 28th event. The stats were reset for this event in the early a.m. of the 28th so the stats are not reflective of the previous event views. 2. In the near future we will be looking at tweeking the front page. We have a list of options and are still deciding which avenue we are going to take. But the ideas being kicked around will make the front page even more unique. 3. We will be making changes and additions to the members profile section. Basically extending the members section and making it easier to navigate. Ease of use is our focus. Plus a few more smaller improvements to the site that will help the site be more optimized for speed and navigation. So stay tuned....................................... |
