I like the schedule. However not sure about the 7am thing. We are either just getting to bed or perhaps been in bed for a hour or so. So our day starts around 11ish. lol |
I definitely second the pool volleyball! My knees make me feel like I'm 80 and on the brink of needing a wheel chair. Cold drinks, and a refreshing pool does it for me. Oh and laughing at crazy ass canucks. |
Tonya (& Shane) | I'll be more than happy to play with you guys, although I need to warn you, I'm not that good. It has been years since I played but I will give it my best shot. I'm usually the one tanning on the beach observing all the action. I'm sure Shane will volunteer for a game. It looks like the teams are forming quickly. From what I hear about Mrs. Canda, I want to be on her team.:)
Oh yes there is one detail that we forget to add about the water volleyball games that makes them much different than the sand games. You see, water volleyball is played with Tequila punch in a squirt bottle. When you make a mistake you take a shot. If the games last a long time everyoneis taking shots. Hence the afternoon naps because the games is played in the afternoon. So its not really a nap but a pass out game. lol Just joking its not really that bad. But there is a lot of drinking though and guys have been known to parade around in halter tops and bikini tops after those games. wink |
Tonya | It sounds like the daily activities are certainly entertaining. With the cold temps outside (I know that here in GA in no way compares to NY or Canada) I can't wait to be soaking up the warm sun and watching the fashion show that I am sure will keep us all laughing.
Whats really cool was that the staff had activities going on around the pool for those wanting to chill out and some of our group were busy on the sand. We pretty much had several different things going on at once. As far as putting teams together ahead of time. Whatever the group wants to do. However you will meet lots of people who will read this forum and meet us down there but never post a pic or get involved in the forum. So we better tell them to get off their lower ends and get involved. lol | Hey I was one of those 6 guys on the court with Mrs. Canada. That lady can play some ball. I am a volleyball phanatic or I thought I was until I met her. Those three on three and four on four games were the best. The only thing better was rinsing off the sand and then hitting the pool and drinking a cold beer.
Tonya | As for dinner, do most people in the group dress in theme for dinner or change afterwards before going to the disco?
Tonya | We can't wait to find out what goes on either. This will be our first trip to Desire. We've been to H3 but understand that Desire is more relaxed during the day and more exciting at night. Either way I think we will be happy. Can't wait to meet you all and hope we can get to know everyone some before August.
Palapas are located on the beach with plenty of chairs to lounge around, catch a brief snooze or just spend a little one on one time with your significant other if you want to get away from the action. Plus there is a nice spa (steam room and sauna), showers, gym and of course some of the best massages you can ever get. (Try the hot stone massage) Now back to the pool area. The bar is right next to the pool along with a snack bar and grill. You can also get one of the staff to take you out on one of the Hobie Cats or if you want some exercise you can take out a kayak. So there is plenty to keep you busy or plenty of room and space to disappear to take a siesta which your DP hosts absolutely love around 4 in the afternnon to re-charge for that night. | Everything during the day at Desire is focused on the main pool which is closing optional and the beach. The pool is mere yards away from the beach and ocean. The staff keeps things going all day with music and games by the pool area. Which includes water volleyball, water polo and water basketball to name a few. Plus there is a sand volleyball court right next to the pool.
