Day Six
Our last official day on vacation as the next day we get to spend traveling back home. We started the day like most with a nice breakfast. However we finally found our way back over to the gym for the second time on vacation. The pool gravity has been tremendous on this trip so its hard to get motivated for a little cardio and weights. Three of the couples has agreed to take a catamaran sunset trip around the infamous Los Cabos horn on this day. We tried our best to get the group motivated to join us but again the pool gravity force was strong. Then we soon learned that our third couple had partied hard into the night and were no where to be found. So the four of us booked the La Princesa which is a 33ft Catamaran that only takes out twenty people. It was a little pricey but it ha four crew members and its large enough to not feel crowded or cramped.
It was pretty windy but it was clear and beautiful for a sunset cruise. The ladies grabbed a few swimsuits and with the crews eager permission. We started a little impromptu photo shoot. It would have been stupid not to with such great breathtaking backdrops. Plus the captain was very happy to have the ladies drive the boat with and without him at the wheel. The rest of the passengers were just as happy to watch as well. It was a fun trip with one of the most beautiful water sunsets that I have ever seen. Its a definite must do if you are in Cabo. Plus the smaller the boat the closer they can get to the horn. So we got up really close. Again it was very windy and with sails out we were doing 11 knots which allowed us to make multiple passes of the horn at different angles that they normally do not do.
After a great cruise we were all very hungry as we had remembered the great tacos from two days before. The crew directed us to the Mazallan restaurant which is about a block off the main strip. It was on the other side of the mall which is at the marina were had docked at. It's not a tourist location which we love to visit. We ventured over and for a few seconds were wondering just where we had been directed to. But we noticed some cabs outside and a nice crowd inside. Again very glad that we had asked as the locals know where the best places are. It was by far the best meal we had on the trip. Which is saying alot as we had eaten like kings on this trip. We got what the waiter called the boat. It comes with what he called enough food for four people but I think five or six is more like the number. The whole meal was grilled and included, lobster, blue crab, jumbo shrimp, red snapper, octopus and we had a shrimp ceviche as an appetizer. Plus the girls said some of the best jumbo margaritas they had the entire trip. It wasnt pricey and the food was awesome. Plus they had a great traditional Mariachi band who never sang La Bamba nor Michael Jackson so it was even better.
We eventually made our way back over the resort as the nights theme was Whips and Kisses. Otherwise known as fetish night. Oh and wow as the guests were ready for this theme. We had a great last night partying with friends in the disco. Evidently one of the previous nights I had convinced one of the New Jersey crew (dont want to name names) to sing karoke songs of my choice for tequila shots. Well tonight was vodka shots. Oh and nope he was doing the shots and doing the singing. I admit he could do a mean Prince, little red corvetter and a not so bad Titanic, Celion Deon. Yeah, yeah I know why those two songs. Well when you are drunk and having a blast it just happens. Good times, new friends, old friends and some awesome memories were created, made and reunited on this trip.
On the final trip report I will close out with the pros, cons, and the insane travel day that we incurred coming home.

We enjoyed hanging with you two also. Great times, great memories and oh the memories. But I thought your new screen name was going to be SweetKat? For those that were not on the trip. I forgot to mention that it seems that all the guys on the trip had the first names of David. So we started numbering everyone. David #1, David #25 (aka Disco Dave), David #69, Sweet Dave. Then the Canadians and New Yorkers on the trip started calling everyone Bill or Betty. So to say we were confusing other guests and the staff was a major under statement. Great times and I still need to update Day Six. Oh the stories on that final day.

Day Five

All well made plans are sometimes seldom carried out. Weplanned on partying by the pool for a few hours and then walking into townvisiting some local bars on the way. We were told that there is an area of townwhere there are quite a few art stores. On Thursdays they host a block partyfrom 5pm to 9pm with free drinks and food and you can browse the artexhibits. Well we never got past the pool part of our day as the pool gravitywas pretty strong on this day. There must have been about forty of us allhanging around, talking and just relaxing. Then the entertainment staff had tobring out a beer drinking game. I sat on the side taking pictures and watchedthe staff slaughter everyone during the game. Thats when I had a bright idea.Luckily it was only one round. But I jumped up onto the deck and joined twoother members of our group against Cesar, Anthony and another member of thestaff. I slammed the beer and was the first of all six of us to be done. However I was glad that I only did one round as warm beer hitting the stomach allat one time was not so good.

Next up was a dart game. Which was a dart board placed on alarge board. Around the dart board for those that missed were drinking games.Either a tequila shot, as many sex positions in ten seconds, a sexual scream orget your butt spanked by everyone in the game. For those that played the entirebeer game. This game was going to be hard. First round was normal dart throws.Luckily I only missed once and had to do a sex scream. Some missed all threeshots and had to slam warm tequila shots.

The next round was bending down and throwing through yourlegs. Yep I missed all three. Heck I didnt even hit the board. So I slammedwarm tequila and did as many positions as I could in ten seconds. Luckily itwas only two rounds as warm tequila and warm beer do not mix. Now you can seewhy we never made that walk into town.

If your partying by the pool and get tired of waiting fordrinks. There is a beach side bar about twenty yards from the pool. Jorge wasbartending on this day and man was he glad to see us as no one was keeping himcompany at the bar. Thats when we discovered that they had horseshoes. So alarge group of us started playing horseshoes. My team was losing and thatswhen we brought in the ringer. My lovely assistant who was wearing a gorgeousg-string bikini would bend over and shake her butt in the air every time theother teams ringer would throw. It didnt really help much but it was great towatch.

After a few games we retired to our rooms to get ready fordinner. We had made reservations for eight of us to eat at the hibachi in theSuki restaurant. After dinner we all met at the Melange bar where they had theband playing from a few nights previous. They sounded even better on thisnight. I never did get the bands name but awesome cover band. We all hung outthere and enjoyed watching everyone as they gathered in that nights Piratetheme costumes. It was fun watching the resort quests whom were not part of ourgroup trying to figure out if a pirate ship had beached and the crew had joinedthe party. However I really doubt a pirate ship would have have so many sexyfemale sailors on it. The party continued in the disco and well into the night.Another definitely fun day.

Day Four

Well once again we woke up early. Not as early as we slept till8am. After spending a few nights inour room I would recommend that you dont get a room overlooking the Melangebar and or Barcelo. Trash trucks arrive at 7amat Barcelo and its none to quiet around that time. Plus the party at Melangebar sometimes goes to 2am depending ifthe disco is open. So it can be kinda hard to sleep in or head to bed early ifyou have early morning plans.

Our friends rented acar for the day and we went off to Cabo San Lucas to do some sight seeing andshopping. I had a food allergy so we hit a pharmacy and I bought someprescription strength benadryl. Well after drinking two beers I had a good buzzgoing on. The fishing fleet here is amazing. We went to all kind of shops whereyou barter. Make sure you hit the side streets as you can find some good deals. We meandered over to the area where Cabo Wabo is located and found a goodoutside bar called Rip bar. Three Coronos for $5. Next door is a taqueria styleoutdoor restaurant. Probably the best Mahi Mahi fish tacos I have ever had. Yepthey were fried but awesome. Be sure to put the red hot sauce on them. While atthe bar we met a guy who had retired from Las Vegasto Cabo three years previous. He gave us the run down on the town. He said thatthe crime rate as very low. Same type problems we have the in the states. Iasked and was told that it was pretty expensive to own or rent. While we weretalking we kept getting bothered by the same street kids tugging on our shirtin a effort to get us to buy there bracelets. He said that the only thing thatscared him about the town was those kids. He said they were ruthless and werepretty cold hearted. He said that that their parents made them work from earlymorning to late at night. Pretty much child abuse as he described it. Heclaimed that they worked to support their parents drug habits. They wereraised on the streets and had a rough mentality. The guy said to watch them asthey were the best pick pockets and would steal you blind. So I watched themfor a minute and he was right. I love my young daughter but these kids weretrained to be flim flam artists. So watch out and dont be soft at heart asthey will steal you blind. Okay enough about that.

Anyways the ladies did some shopping, grabbed some greatdeals and were happy. However if I hear, My friend, my friend, I have a greatdeal for you one more time. Lol So we headed back to the car. However I saw  a sign that read, Blue Jungle bar. It was anoutside bar and claimed to have the worlds best Mojitos. So I grabbed a seat asthe ladies had disappeared into another jewelry store. I ordered a mojito and Iwill have to agree. It was by far the best mojito I have ever had. Thebartender was in his mid twenties and had moved from San Diego eleven years ago. I noticed that he had a puppyand was using a surf board tether as the dogs leash. So I figured that hewould know where the great beaches were in the area. He recommended Saritasbeach. He said it was about a forty five minute drive farther down the coast. But said you could walk out about fifty yards into the water and only be aboutchest high. It also had a great restaurant there and was worth the drive. Itwas getting late so we had to save Saritas beach for another day.

We traveled back to the resort and joined everyone in thehot tub. The party started early on this day as our full group had arrived. Wehung out in the hot tub until the sun set and then started getting ready fordinner.

If you want really good sushi you need to have the frontdesk make you reservations at Nick San. A group of us went there for dinner asthe resorts Suki restaurant was taking forever. Its a short cab ride and thefood and service is amazing. They have a great selection of tequilas and sake.Plus some very unique sushi dishes as well.

We returned to the resort and got ready for the nightsparty. For some reason the resort had an excuse and had kept the disco closedfor the first three nights. So earlier in the day I had made a few phone callsand the disco was now open for the rest of our stay. The group partied late andwe will have to look at the pictures to see how good of a time we had.

Day Three

Up again very early. We have spent the last few monthslooking forward to vacation. As we were ready to party, relax and sleep in.Done all of the above but the sleeping in part. Oh well, getting the chance todo something most only see on discovery channel and getting to do it in a vipstyle. We joined four other couples and chartered a 36ft. Blackfin fishingboat. We took a ten minute cab ride from the resort to the port. I was amazedat the fishing fleet that was in the port. I couldnt even count the boatsthere were so many. We were on the boat and pulling out of port within twentyminutes. About ten minutes from leaving dock we had our first whale sighting.About twenty yards away one surfaced for air. Its hard to even describe thefeeling of being so close and realizing just how big they really are. Over thecourse of six hours we must have saw at least fifty to seventy whales and thatis on the minimum side. Plus we saw several seals, numerous dolphins as well asa manaray. The manaray was huge and racing through the water and then jumpinginto the air just yards from the boat.

Got to put a good plug in for Ricardo Aripez Alvarez (ricardoaripez123@yahoo.com.mx)as he set up the fishing trip. We had Don Julio tequila, absolute vodka, modelobeer and our course soft drinks, water and snack food. So needless to say theparty started. The ladies went topless, climbed up the ladder to join the boatcaptain and helped him navigate. We had a morning and afternoon of fun that Ihave never experienced. Oh yeah the fishing part. Well during March the marlinare running on the Pacific side.  But wechose to stay in the Sea of Cortez as we really wanted to take in the whales. So the water is really cold this time of year and the boat only took in onefish. But hey, we had a blast, partied like rock stars for a day and createdsome awesome memories.

When we got back to the resort the party was in full mode atthe pool. But being in the sun all day we snuck off for a little siesta to getready for the night time festivities. That night we ate dinner at the IlPiacere restaurant. This is the resorts buffet style restaurant and the foodchanges nightly with different themes. It was very good and a nice change fromthe multi course dinners we had the nights before. Our waiter was awesome. Youhad barely put your fork down and your plate was changed out, water wasconstantly refreshed and went out of his way to make our dining experience apleasure. We dont get this kind of service at most restaurants back in the U.S.

The nights entertainment was centered around the outsideMelange bar. It was retro music night and something they called chocolate.Well we quickly learned what that was. A female member of our group hadvolunteered to lay down, be smeared with chocolate, whip cream and thenstrawberries. Then the audience was allowed to come up and eat off of her. Veryerotic, tasty and it did not hurt that she was absolutely stunning. The partythen moved to the outdoor Jacuzzi and was still going when we left at 3am.

Yep we are doing it again. Giving you the play by play of our group vacation for spring break 2010. Read at your leisure, pleasure and at your own risk. lol Names, dates and location have been changed to protect the innocent. j/k.
This year the airfare was pretty pricey so a whole lot of the group did connecting flights to save on the cost. We connected through Mexico City and saved $600 on our airfare. Major pain in the butt as we flew in the night before and spent the night in Mexico City. We stayed at the brand new NH hotel which in the airport terminal. Very upscale and modern styled hotel. We got into Mexico City around 11pm and had a connecting flight to Cabo San Lucas at 950am. This turned out to be an adventure. As that night we had the time change. Depending on who you asked you got different answers. The truth of the matter was that Mexico City did not do the time change as they do it a couple of weeks later. However Cabo San Lucas does. So kinda antsy trying to figure out wake up times, flight times etc... Anyways great flights, free alcohol on Aero Mexico flights and very modern new planes.

A little funny side note to the trip.

Ladies, I know how you feel from the man perspective. We flew into Mexico City the night before so we had already went through immigration and customs in Mexico. So flying back out we were considered a domestic flight. Not sure of their descriptive but Mexico's version of TSA was extremely slow on a Sunday morning. I was following the Misses through their TSA line to get our carry on's scanned as well as ourselves. We were the only two. All of a sudden two female TSA in another line started saying senor, senor, senor and motioning for me to come over to their scanner. So I walked over kinda like WTF. Both ladies started giggling and had me lift my shirt higher and higher to show them I had no belt on. Well as my shirt was lifted over my chest they were finally satisfied. So I then walked through the scanner and realized that the x-ray security person was not even looking at my luggage going through. So I then had to take up the stand up prone position. You know, hands straight out sideways, feet parted etc…. Well next thing I know she is moving the wand over my butt and patting it. Then its moving over my groin area and she is patting it and giggling. So by this time I am looking around waiting for someone to jump out with a camera yelling, “you been punked” or something. Nope, male TSA guy comes over laughing at the two females and I am allowed through. Meanwhile the Ms. C is looking at me like what the hell is going on. Hey its vacation and just glad to get through. Now that I am typing this we are hearing travel advisories to Mexico, Mexico City, Cancun and Cozumel where tourists are being targeted and several have been killed. So just glad that I let them have their fun. So ladies now I know what you go through in life. Lol

First impression of the resort was very nice. Attention to detail was everywhere. Front desk staff was a little stiff and not overly friendly. Just kinda not on the rude side but not on the nice side either. The resort is clean and I mean clean. Staff mopping the pool decks, lobbies etc... everywhere. Heck they were even grooming the sand when we walked in. Very modern resort with upscale features. Our room is a little on the small side. But we have a king size bed, sectional couch, big outdoor balcony over looking the Merangue Bar. Only draw back is that we are on the Barcelo hotel side. Which is a brand new hotel/resort that if you are looking for a do nothing, read a book vacation we recommend you check it out. Our front door overlooks their pool and I mean overlooks their pool. We are so close I can carry on a quiet conversation with their guests if I wish to. lol
The thing I am most surprised about as I have heard nothing about is the resort beach. The beach is awesome. It blows away the beaches at Desire or Temptation Cancun. Very very wide. You could carry on three or four beach volleyball games and not get in anyone's way. Palapa beds everywhere. Its gorgeous and the resort grooms it like crazy.
The pool area is very nice as there are chairs and beds everywhere. Not really sure if they are gearing the music toward our group or its the norm. But all day Sunday was soft house music with a nice mix of dance music that had a house mix mashed in. At night they greared the music toward the 20-40 age crowd. However their is a nice mixture of 20-60 here on our first day and no complaints as everyone is mixing and mingling. As the day progressed the crowd got younger as our group started to roll in and the older crowd left.
We ate in the Italian restaurant our first night. Nice six course meal which I gave a two thumbs up. The Merangue bar had a great Dj playing soft house music until around 11pm. But to be honest I only know this as our butts crashed out at 10pm. So I got woke up when the music changed and the resort partied hard till around 2am.

Day Two
Went to bed early and woke up early. Got up at 645am and started the day. Had a great breakfast. The omelets are awesome. Got our pool side chairs staked out. Hit the gym which faces the beach and ocean so great views.

We pretty much hung out at the pool and soaked up some sun. It was a blast as the winter weather had been rainy and dreary for the last few months back home. We mixed and mingled with all our group trip members. Many that we had never met and just relaxed. Yep went on vacation and relaxed and just partied in the pool all day with no schedule. Toward the end of the day a member of our group told us that he had chartered a 36ft. fishing boat. So our plans were to let the ladies lay out, do some troll fishing and get up close and personal with the whales the next day.

For dinner we went and did the asian restaurant called Zuki. Another six course dinner that was suberb. I had read reviews where people did not like the restaurant or selection. I love protein as I love to work out. So raw fish is a great dinner choice for me. Just be smart and ask your waiter what is good for the night and what would he choose. I went with his selections and had a great dinner. Oh, Ms. C was feeling a little under the weather from all of the pool side partying. There is a great drink that the bartenders in Mexico know about to help soothe a upset stomach. Not sure what is in it but it works tremendously.

We ended up partying at the Merangue bar for the night. They had a live salsa band that was pretty good. Around 1130pm the band turned from Salsa to a old school rock cover band. Yeah yeah I know. Sounds kinda crazy. But we were sober and they were actually kinda good. Actually better as a cover band than salsa. Anyways at 1230am the party turned to the Jacuzzi. So much for topless optional. You had a mix of clothing, topless and nude. No problems, no rudeness and everything was good. The party was still going when we left at 230am as we had a fishing boat to catch in a few hours.
