Soap Box The closing of Club Encounters
| The following post was moved from another section and posted here at the request of member, LuckyCharms: "We were in a group in Atlanta called Luxuria (Luxuria.com) they have been very successful maintaining a top shelf image, attracting members (they simply flat out screen people), etc. etc...my point, however, is they do not have a home base and had their parties at trendy popular venues in Buckhead, Midtown, Morningside..seemed like they selected clubs where they could have the entire second floor, back room, or what ever. Sometimes, it was only until midnight, then the party was no longer private. Certainly a downside, but I guess that was the compromise for being at centralized hotspots with good service, well known clubs, and good looking crowds. Anyway, I'm sure they'd offer some advice should you seek outside ideas/input. J." |
| As pointed out in previous forum posts. DesirousParty is looking to have a 2-4 venue rotation in the Houston area. Radiance was kind enough to step up and assist DP with hosting this party that was already scheduled at the now closed Encounters. I, Mr. DP, have never visited Radiance and this will be my first party there. I do know the guests that attend DP parties so I am sure that there will be an attractive friendly group of party guests at this event. Plus we will be hosting a meet n greet and will have a designated section for DP party guests to mix n mingle, get to know the club and the party guests as well. Change is hard especially when it is unexpected. But with change comes new experiences, variety and a new energy as well. Rest assured that we will have a great time. On the point regarding the staff of Radiance. Rest assured that as in every party that I host. I will be there early to iron out any wrinkles and make sure that my guests are treated in a VIP fashion. I always do this whether we are in Houston, Dallas or in the Caribbean. DP party guests deserve and get the VIP treatment. Radiance management has assured me that they will be on their A game and you will get the treatment that you deserve. I am also looking at other venues in what I call vanilla clubs as well. As I get this information worked out I will get this posted as well. All you have to do is browse the hot couples and singles on this site and you will know that where ever DP goes. There will be some sexual energy in the room. Plus DJ Chris and DJ Fast Eddie will have the dance floor packed. |
| Yeah I know. However the dates that we originally looked at already have a group going from CT. So we need to look at another date perhaps in July that would be better. |
| The closing of Encounters has absolutely nothing to due with the new laws. Rick Inc. still owns the building and surrounding parking areas. But the two businesses were structured totally different and the new laws do not and did not affect Encounters. It was strictly a management decision to close down. They say that they will relocate at a new location in the near future. Only time will tell. Until then DP will do our best to select very good venues and continue to pull the party guests that will put the P in party. |
| Yeah I know what you mean, As good Clubs for Couples are hard to find. Hate to say it but most of the Clubs in Houston are slapped together, very few if any put the money and effort into a nice establishment that people can enjoy longterm. |
| Okay here is another topic that is on everyone's mind. The future goal of DesirousParty is to keep IniQuity in Dallas our home based club there. In Houston it is DP's goal to have a 2-4 club rotation with one couples club being our home base. However our members have requested club variety here in Houston for quite some time. So if everything goes according to our plan. We will be hosting the parties at several different clubs throughout Houston. Our members have requested this and we hope that you support this. Every club has their own style and clientele. At Encounters we got used to the look and feel and it became the feeling of a family reunion at times. Which is good and bad. Because not everyone likes family. wink Anyways, as DesirousParty is about upscale, fun and sexy we will continue to move in that direction with our clubs that we host at. So get ready for a little variety, energy and some very fun upcoming times. |
First and foremost, DesirousParty is still around and we are not going anywhere. The facts are that Club Encounters closed because of management issues. DP had no knowledge that the club was closing and was not told anything on our last night there. Encounters is where DP has hosted our parties for the last four years. It was time for DP to start hopping different venues but close friendships were made at Encounters and Mr. DP was a very loyal friend. I have received many phone calls and texts today stating that different factions are jumping for joy with the thought that DesirousParty will cease to exist. The facts are that DesirousParty and Encounters made each other what we were and we complimented each other. Some of the biggest parties of recent years were held at E. Everyone will always remember the DP Halloween parties at E and the last two Purgatory events. Other than that there was and are no bindings. So the parties will continue and venues are lining up for DP to bring our group of HOTTIES there way. Encounters will be missed and its unfortunate with the demise of a great club. With that said I wish for everyone to remember the great staff at Encounters. These are the people that truly suffer from all of this. Many had no knowledge of what was occurring and are left without jobs. These men and women are the ones who went out of there way to take care of the DP party guests and give everyone a vip style experience. Many could have left a long time ago but they believed in keeping a great club going. I want to personally thank each and everyone of the staff for all that they did at every DesirousParty event. All of you guys will be missed and I can only hope to see you at a different venue soon. Last but not least I want to personally thank Scott, Rick and Renee for stepping in and giving DP our first Houston party at a different venue. We are looking forward to hosting a total girls gone wild style party this weekend at Radiance. So with this said. Let the parties continue as DesirousParty will continue to be an idea, an image and a Pure Vision!!!! |
