There are plenty of paid sites who are happy to take your monthly fees and all day long you get spam from promoters, clubs etc... and you get less and less emails and comments from real members. Your Dp hosts spend approximately $10,000 a year covering the operating costs of the site.We understand that not everyone will agree with us. However we have five years of designing our site and we just want to ensure that the members and party guests get the best product that we can give them. We encourage that you read the following as we do not want to take the necessary steps of suspending profiles of those who wish to not listen. But we cannot and will not allow those who wish to mislead others in believing that Dp is behind an event when we are not. "The site was created to promote DP parties, DP trips and to meet other cool people on the site whom you would not regularly have a chance to meet. Not receive a ton of spam emails that you receive on a daily basis on your regular emails addresses. A few DP members have been using the internal messaging system to promote their own products, services, and or events. Just a reminder this is considered spam, and will not be allowed on the site. DP is a free website, The only revenue we generate is from the parties, and most of this revenue is used to cover operating costs of the website which as we have grown as gotten quite expensive. For this reason we ask that you not promote your products, services and or events on the DP website. If you have a private party ( house party ) and it will take place at a residence, please use the House Parties section to organize your event and send out invitations. You also have your own photo gallery in this area that only invitees can see. This doesn't mean we will not allow any third party events (get togethers, birthday parties at clubs etc...) to be promoted on DP. But Event Hosts must get permission from DP before hand. Also one last thing. If you receive mail from another member that is spam, please use the "Spam abuse" button above the email. This will send a message to the DP admins, and we will investigate the issue. Also please do not use the Mail system to send "Bulk Look at me emails". This is when you send the same email to many members. This will also be considered spam. | Unfortunately I have to bring this topic up again. As I was contacted in reference to questions on a Dp meet n greet at a club that Dp does not host events at that was getting spammed out to members. First and foremost if there is a Dp meet n greet then it will be posted on the main page of DesirousParty.com If you do not see it there then it is not a official Dp event. We keep the site free so that it is not over run by promoters spamming out events to members. We do this to ensure that the quality of the parties, event venues and expectations of the members are met. We carefully choose our events and clubs that we promote in. We of course make mistakes along the way and learn from feedback. But our goal is to control what, when and where the Dp stamp of approval is used. As not every event nor club gets it. We keep the site free because we like the quality and direction the
site is going. We started this site five years ago with one motto at
the time. To be different and unique in our design. We continue to strive to keep this goal.
If you have a private party ( house party ) and it will take place at a residence, please use the House Parties section to organize your event and send out invitations. Also for legal reasons house parties can not charge a cover. This doesn't mean we will not allow any third party events to be promoted on DP.
