Soap Box Runaway Bay Jamaica
| When you say Runaway Bay, I am assuming that you are going to Hedo III. The resort has a list of excursions that can be purchased in the lobby area. Depending on how long you want to be gone off the resort will depend on what you can do. Dunn River Falls is always a must in Jamaica. However you are on the other side of the island and it will be a all day affair. I would suggest a trip to Bob Marley's house and grave site. Very interesting little tour. I also like hikes and athletic stuff. Two things I would suggest. The first you can do by yourself by grabbing a taxi. There is a nature preserve about fifteen minutes from the resort. You may hike a trail that goes up along the river and will take you to the top after about a mile to a breathtaking pool where a waterfall is falling into it. Gorgeous flowers along the way. The second is where you are about 30 feet in the air and rappelling down ropes between the trees. You are in a harness and they have platforms where you are travelling above the jungle. Very fun but you must bring tennis shoes. Oh and the famous trip that everyone always wants to do. The booze cruise. That one takes about four hours and the party boat crews are pretty cool if you get the right one. Hope you enjoy your trip. |
