(Past Trip) Desire Resort,Group Trip,Aug 7th-13th Room Assignments
| While you are right that room location means practically nothing, we have stayed in the oceanview (which was actually an oceanview room) and thought it was worth the extra money. We booked oceanview for the upcoming trip so I'll be a little po'd if the room is something other than a true oceanview room Regardless, we'll spend very little time in our room but having a room that opens to the ocean is pretty neat. |
| We blocked 60 rooms for our group. We were trying to get some more rooms due to the rooms nearing sell out but that does not appear to be happening. |
| Just letting everyone know that this trip is nearing sell out. We have 14 rooms left and these rooms should be gone quickly. As of yesterday there were one or two suites left and assorted garden rooms with one or two ocean rooms left as well. This has been our fastest selling trip to date which gives makes it very evident that word is gettng around about the HOT couples who travel with the DP group. Thanks to all who have booked and spread the word. Its going to be a very fun week. |
| Our group blocked a certain # of rooms of each catergory. Look at the trip info section toward the bottom and you will see how many room we booked in each catergory. However most of the ocean view rooms are now gone. On the bed type. I have always been able to request a queen or king bed and gotten it with no problems. However I always request the same room each time so that may be why. Make sure that you make this request known to Angie or Irene. However ultimately it depends on the resort and what time you get there. If you arrive mid day then I would think there would be no problems. If you arrive later at night then you may have to accept what is available for that night until they can transfer you the next day. We arrived at 8pm at hedo III this March and almost had to accept a hammock underneath a palm tree for the first night. lol |
| CanadianCouple is right on the money again. The resort assigns your room to you when you get there. However if you have stayed at the resort before and liked your room. You can tell Angie or Irene your room # and they will make sure to tell the resort your preference which Desire normally abides by. The only exception would be if another couple already had that room when you got there. But Desire works with our travel agents alot better than Hedo III does on room assignments. But thats another long boring story. lol |
