| Here are some more recent trip reviews on Temptation Resort in Los Cabos: Lol, if you go to temptation cabo you will know what that means. Likeothers i read all the reviews before leaving and was a little nervousas to what was in store . But i'm glad to report that all the negativestuff i read was untrue or at least not in our experience. First andforemost i can't say enough about the staff . From the bartenders atthe pool and jacuzzi , to the waiters , the front desk and theentertainment crew you could not find a better group of people to serveyou. I really mean this, those guys and gals were awesome and totallymade the trip memorable TIP THEM!! The grounds while small are kept inperfect shape and the look of the resort is very fresh andcontemporary. The pool was heated so swimming at anytime was alwayscomfortable and frankly made it hard to leave except for around 4pmwhen everyone heads up to the jacuzzi to watch the sun dip into thehorizon. The whole mood of the resort is definetly sexy and is greatfor couples. We never had the whole "lifestyle" thing put in front ofus but if you were looking for it you would probably find it but noworries it's discreet. You do however have to have an open mind or atleast a sense of humour when it comes to the games they play around thepool and the shows at night nothing raunchy just cheeky and fun (prudesshould stay elsewhere). The resort was almost full when we went and thecrowd ranged from 25-70+ but mostly settled in the middle (we are 27and 32) but frankly age didn't matter because everyone for the mostpart was of the same mindset and that's what made it so fun. I honestlyhave never met so many cool people in my life , my wife and i hve beenbusy with adding our new friends to facebook and planning trips tovisit them . There are other good things about temptation as well ,likethe food and the location and the weather but honestly nothing comparesto the atmosphere and vibe of the place. If you are friendly and likeinteracting with people this is your place .If you go have fun and sayhello to everyone for us we miss them already Another: I went to Temptation Resort having found an awesome last minute deal atChristmas. I was very pleased with my overall experience. I arrivedbefore check-in time, but was made very comfortable by the staff andoffered lunch. Before I finished lunch, the staff came to therestaurant to inform me that my room was ready. The rooms were verywell appointed and the most contemprary (in regard todesign/furnishings) I've seen in ANY hotel at a tropical destination.Overall, the resort featured the typical ammenities of anyall-inclusive hotel (e.g. beach access, pool, hot tub, severalrestaurants, daytime games, and evening activities). I loved the beach;although not "private", the area was roped off so street vendors didnot bother you selling goods. Large, clean pool with comfy loungefurniture. The restaurants and food selections were pretty good (soupsto die for!) The wait staff was incredibly helpful and even rememberedmy name! I've stayed at all-inclusives in the Dominican Republic,Jamacia, and Venezuela. Temptation - San Jose del Cabo is the best I'vestayed in thus far! The only thing that got kind of old, (but wasn'treal bad) was the ever present air of sexuality (topless pool, eroticart, free porn channel, and sexually-oriented games/activities). Ihowever "rolled with it," cause when in Rome... Another: My wife and I stayed at this resort and initially had some apprehensionwhen arriving in an "adult-only" resort. From the outside, the resortis unassuming and not splashy. However once inside the resort, it didnot disappoint. We loved almost everything at the resort, however there are a few things others may want to take note of: 1.Toplessness - there are a lot of women that love to bare them, not onlyto catch the sun rays, but also to just "take it off". The hottubseemed to be the place to take it off even when the sun set for theday. Nearly 1/2 the women were topless during the sunlight hours butthere was no pressure to take it off. 2. Evening entertainment - ifyou tend to be an early riser, the evening entertainment could set yoursleep pattern off. Almost every night the outdoor entertainment whichstarts at 9:30 pm doesn't shut down until nearly midnight. Most roomsface the Courtyard where the entertainment is so very few rooms aresheltered from the loud sounds. If you have a tough day and want to getto sleep before midnight...bring earplugs. 3. Construction - theconstruction at the nearby hotel in almost finished. However theconstuction noises start about 7:00 am and last most of the day. Mostnoise is low however there were somedays where jackhammering went onfor several hours. I would expect construction to be done by end ofFebruary. 4. Food - the food was great however there were times theselection was limited in the evening. The food in the Japanese andItalian was alway very high quality and the service was fantastic. Themain buffet was alway good but the selection was limited on certaintheme days. My suggestion is to walk to the buffet and view it firstbefore deciding to stay, and if you did not like the variety, then goto one of the other two (if they were open). 5. Beach - it waswide and beautify. Great for long walks. Swimming is not recommended.There were several unexcepted waves that knocked people over. Duringour stay we saw one tourist at the next resort who apparently wasslammed by a wave and broke his neck. He was carried off by theparamedics on a backboard. This is a great resort to stay at ifyou want to get away from the traditional resorts and experiencesomething intimate with your partner. Several single people were therewho also loved the resort. This is not a mega-resort with thousand ofrooms and thousands of bars/restaurants, and thousands of people. Ifyou want to meet some nice people or if you want to stay low-key, thisresort is for you. |
| Jan. 5th, 2010 This is a review of our 7th trip to this resort in the last 14 months. We were toldthe resort was full and we do know that the entertainment staff had topack their belongings and stay at a nearby hotel because their roomswere needed for guests. So it was nice to see a lot of guests. Some thoughts: Room:Stayed in room 228 and everything was as clean as previous trips. Theroom was serviced every day, usually by 10 a.m. The mini-bar wasstocked every day, we didnt drink any of the beers they stock but weconsumed the bottled water every day. Food: This is a verysubjective topic, but we have always thought the food was good and hada nice variety. We have not noticed much of a difference between whenthe resort was Desire to the change now. Breakfast had a nice selectionbut we usually would get an omelet made. Lunch was buffet style ourentire stay and the grill would change the selections a little everyday. Dont be shy about asking the grill for something they dont havelisted. For example, a day they had fish, we asked the chef to make fish tacos,no problem, and a day they had chicken, we asked for a chicken andcheese quesadilla. We had dinner at all the restaurants during ourstay. No complaints at all. The late night snacks were at the poolgrill for the 1st time in any of our trips. Ask them to make a grilled sandwich, they are a really good late night snack. Service:I cant say enough about the service, from the bartenders,entertainment staff, waiters, etc. We never tip during our stay. Wetend to wait till the end of our vacation and then tip the employeesthat we enjoyed the service from the most. The fact we never greasedthe wheel during the week never impacted the service we received. Afriendly attitude goes a long way in our opinion. "great resort with a great price" Jan 10, 2010 thisresort is beautiful and very clean. the decor is modern and sexy, thepool and jacuzzi are beauiful and there is always somewhere to loungearound. the food was ok but there are many amazing restaurants just awalk away with a great price. the service is amazing hre, the firsthour i arrived staff knew me by name and each greeted me each day. theday activities are for the most part a lot of fun and get the crowdgoing, and the entertainment staff do a great job. the nightentertainment was a little boring, however it was easy to go to thecity and there are lots of places to dance or see live shows. Dec. 9, 2009 Only place in Cabo I will ever go again...I plan on going to the Tempations in Cancun somedayHad the time of our life. Couldnt believe for the price all that we got. All inclusive is the only way we will ever go!!! December 3 2009 Partial Trip Stay We booked this hotel because it was offered with Expediawith great airfare rates. We were going for one night and figured- whatthe heck! Itll be an experience! And it was! While I didnt go toplessmyself, it really wasnt a big deal to see others doing so. In fact, Ifelt more comfortable with myself and did take off my cover up and justrelaxed! The drinks are NOT watered down (like we were expecting fromother reviewers). As a result- we drank a few too many! The food wasgood- better that most buffets, but still a buffet for breakfast andlunch. Dinner was more restaurant-ish and VERY good! The service fromOtto and the entertainment crew (Brian, Gio and Noelia) was wonderful! Beach volleyball,ping-pong and best of all- NO KIDS! As a teacher and a mom this is whatI call a vacation! We were sad to leave, but they did not rush us out!We sat by the pool until the time share was available. I wish we hadjust stayed at Temptation!The only caution I would advise is that the music can be pretty loud atnight. Our room was right near the dance floor, which was convenient!But loud. Good thing I was so sleepy after drinking that I didnt mind!Great hotel! We WILL be back! SOON! Great advice we recieved: decide ona price for Taxis BEFORE getting in; Eat at Yazmines- amazing!

Dec.1, 2009 great adult resortas soon as youarrive you are greeted by a very chic lobby and a glass of champagne!the staff was very helpful and always eager to please. the decor of theentire place was very again, chic and boutique like. And did I metion,its all adults and mature adults not your spring breakers. the food,first rate and the driks premium. cant say enough about the staffagain. My husband and I will definately visit again. |
