You will be given your custom forms and immigration forms while on the plane. Be sure to bring a pen as they do not provide one. |
Customs forms? Do you have to fill those out even if you have a passport? Where do you get the customs forms? |
We also do passports. We agree its more convenient and a little easier to keep track of. However no matter what you have you still have to deal with the maze that the Jamaicans put you through in the airport. Plus its a 50-50 shot that you get one in a good mood. But the mood music you listen to while going through the immigration line isnt that bad. We've been through it some many times we almost know their dance steps by now. lol |
Might I also add that the customs forms should be filled out before you reach an agent. (Every pole in the place has directions on it.) If not, they can - and often do - send you to the end of the line! | We did the BC and DL route last year. Big hassle. Lots of questions to go along with it. Remember, too, that if you choose to go that way, bring proof of name changes as well. I didn't have my marraige cert, which definately slowed things down, but a friend who is in her second marraige had trouble because the name on her current marraige cert, which she'd brought, didn't match her BC and she hadn't brought the first marraige cert and divorce papers! Passports make customs so much easier! Those passport only lines really moved along. We've got ours for this trip, you can be sure.
Saves quite a bit of money not to have to get one.We just need Birth Cert.and Driver License as always.See you there. | The Hedomadness.com website says that a passport is needed to go to Jamaica. We found from Delta Airlines that a passport is not required for US citizens. I thought that I would relay this information.
