Houston Iniquity Closed???
| i have radiance on my friends list on myspace and they have the same thing up ,, how sad ,,, all these lifestyle clubs are closing ,, but i really think in my opinion that charging a fee is ridiculous or you have to be a member ,,, i never understood that ,,,, but i guess each to their own ,, some one needs to open up a nice upscale club with a variety of music ,, and different theme parties with a set cover fee ,,, |
| I would never blame the staff or managers for the club going down. Their job was to serve the customers that walk in the door, and they did this well. However I think the owners went cheap on their marketing. They had the same guy running both the dallas and houston websites. From what I heard this guy was pretty lazy. I tried to contact them about taking over their sites, but they never got back with me. They made the same mistakes so many clubs make. They spend tons of money for print fliers, and advertise on websites that don't target their demographic. If you want it done right you have to do it yourself. That is why DP has grown constantly over the past 4 years. Its really as simple as growing a maillist of people interested in your business. Then blast them an email once a week reminding them you exist. |
| I can only imagine that IKE hurt them pretty bad. They were struggling to pull a crowd on their good nights. Then when IKE came along, that was a good 2 or 3 weeks that all bars and clubs in town were dead. I think we are all keeping an eye out to see what happends to the building. Considering that Ricks Incorporated ( parent company of CT ) owns the building, I always thought that maybe they would open up a venue of their own. IQ did a nice job of pimping the place out. If they didn't strip out all the TVs, sound system, lights, seating, then someone is going to get to take over a pretty nice place. I guess we will have to wait and see. |
| Yep just hear about it over the weekend. We had to change our weekend plans because of it. :( |
