Soap Box ****Hacker Alert for Dp Members*******
| We bring attention to this forum topic as we again have caught the person attempting to gain access to multiple profiles. We again ask that you do not use the same password as on other sites. The person or persons are definitely using a data base from another site to gain access to Dp profiles. As he, she, they tried old passwords that used to work on this particular site. So please change your passwords. For those that may worry. Our system is setup to catch and blacklist the ip addresses which we have done. If you have not gotten a email from us then your profile was not compromised. We have also told the profile members who were compromised whom we believe to be doing this so that they can take any legal or physical action they deem necessary. |
| We have recently blacklisted a IP address as this IP was logging into multiple member profiles We were alerted to this by a member who noticed unusual activity in their profile. The hacker was going directly into the profiles on first login attempts so it was obvious that the person already had the member username and passwords. This also happened a year ago with the same type of activity. At that time the Dp members were using the same username and password as on another site. Its very obvious that this person was using a data base to get the listed username and passwords again. As our system is set up to blacklist a ip address if to many login attempts are made. If you were not notified then you have nothing to worry about as those members were told several days ago. But to be on the safe side we suggest that everyone use a different username and password then they use on other sites. Please dont just change a number in your password as its still easy for hackers to figure out. We are also in the process of taking further security measures.
