Desire Pearl is formerly Ceiba del Mar which the Dp group has been to twice. So be sure to check out the trip pictures. In our opinion Desire Pearl will blow the original out of the waters. Nicer rooms, better food, more room and not being packed around the pool like sardines. Plus the beach is so much nicer and it has large Palapa pier. If you like to take a very short walk into town there is a bunch of nice restaurants and bars as well. But everything about the new Desire Pearl will be much nicer than the original. Which is why Desire management wanted it. The big factor is the resort only has 88 rooms but is twice as large as the original and has tremendous potential to go above and beyond any lifestyle clothing optional resort in the world if it is ran correctly.
So cannot promise what the occupancy ratio will be but expect a tremendous resort. We were also told that they were going to allow guests to travel between the two resorts as well. Not sure if that is still a factor.
