I have upgraded the validations section. Here is how it will work
All Validations will be Active by default ( no more pending status )
If you get a validation from a member who you have not met, click the report button.
this will disable the validation from your profile, and alert the DP staff.

Members who are reported issuing fake validations will have their profiles terminated.
Its very important you only issue validations to other members who you have met in person, and you can validate they are a real couple or single female,  If they used to be a couple and are no longer a couple ( now just a single male ) please delete you validation of them.

Do not use validations as a friends list ( that is what the friends list is for )

If you have been issuing fake validations go to the validations given page and delete them.
The validations given page will display all the validations you have issued to other members with the ability to delete them.

Also remember that validations are one way.  If a person issues you a validation this does not indicate you validate them.  You will need to visit their profile and issue a return validation.

Its important we keep validations as accurate as possible.

We will be deleting profiles that have abused validations.

It seems that has validated a lot of people.  Even a single male we kicked a few months back, has anyone actually met this member?

The SamandSarah profile was removed from the site as it was reported to be a single male. After researching the profile there was enough suspicion to delete it. If there are other such profiles you suspect just let us know. Just a side note that you also have member settings on who can request your private pics. Just go to member preferences to set them.

I noticed this a while back when some guy got a validation, and claimed this proves he was real.  He claimed that they met him, and that he was a real person, but we kicked him as it was obvious he was a single male.  I am considering adding some code to report invalid validations.  This way if someone trys to validate you and you have never met them you would be able to report them.  This would help to clean up the community.

Yes we have and I am trying to find out if anyone has actually met this couple or person. Been suspecting them for quite awhile but until now wasnt sure if my suspicions were correct or not. As they seemed to be friends with everyone. So yes we are investigating.
But on this topic. Validations are meant as a certification that this member is "real". This is not myspace, facebook, jr. high etc... to see how many validations or friends you can collect. This helps other members make sure the profile is legit. So if you have not met this member in person then do not accept their validation. In return if you have not met them do not give them a validation. If you notice, the Dp profile gives very few validations. One we are to busy all the time with the site and forget to do it. Then two, if we are not absolutely certain we have met you in person. We are not going to validate you. Then there is three. If we have met you and we dont feel comfortable giving you our royal validation certification so that others want to meet you. wellllllllllllllll  just joking on  number three. But seriously validations help others know this profile is legit. Plus it tells alot about that profile by which Dp members are validating them. This is all about checks and balances so we need to make sure it works correctly.

Has anyone else noticed that there is one particular user on the site that has validated most all of the other users?  It's interesting because I have chatted with a few of the members that this particular user has validated and not one of them have actually met this couple.  This is certainly not what the purpose of the validation should be.  Just curious!
