Austin Austin in the Fall
| We are still disapointed in the halloween plans since we tend to go big, but this year we now have nothing to do. We will have to make up for it at carnaval! We were talking last night about the pros and cons of getting a hotel room vs. renting a limo and hosting a house party. Last year we did the hotel and stayed with some out of town friends from Spring. We had a good time showing them around Austin and the party at Carnival was great. G really enjoyed walking down Barton Springs in a G-string topless! We were approached by several couples during the show about after parties either at XTC or back at our rooms but since our friends were mostly vanilla we didnt take them up on the offers. I had a thought regarding the logistics of finding other couples in the large crowd I think that using glow sticks of a particular color would allow more like minded people to spot each other at a distance. I am leaning towards the Hotel rooms since that seems the easiest to pull off and allow the most flexability. I think the only problem of a Carnival meet up is the large size of the event and it would be impossible to take it all in and attend all the good parties in a single year. What do you think? SNG |

| Sad day, I called Allure to make halloween reservations and was told that the club has closed, and the website is no longer up. We have lots of good memories and enjoyed all the friendly people. I was not impressed with the other club options in town when we discovered Allure but now we need a new place to party. Anyone willing to post reviews of Friends, Aphrodites, or Dantes jungle? I would love to make all the DP events, but with Houston 3 hours away it is less than convieniant. |
| I was just looking for the Allure website to plan our fall activities and the site is no longer up. Do they have a new address or a good way to contact them? I tried the E-mail address and it seems the E-mail server has also been removed. |
I know we dont really count since we live just fifteen minutes from downtown but We were starting to think about a either a house party or a hotel for Carnaval Brasilero Austin. G and I have been the past two years, and we look foreward to the next one about five minutes after we leave. I hope we can get a decent sized group together for the 2010 party. |
