Soap Box Abandoned Profiles
| About a year ago space was a big issue for the site. However we are now on our own server and have plenty of room to grow. But I do agree that if they are not active and not receiving any info on the Dp site then they have no use being on the site and will be purged. No reason wasting anyone's time on wishful thinking on what might be fake profiles anyways. lol |
| We actually delete profiles every week. The process we use is when their email bounces showing that it is no longer good we delete the profile. Since the site is free and it appears they are getting the emails we keep the profile active with the chance that they might return to the site. But the vast majority of dormant profiles created throughout 2005-2007 have been deleted from the site. So you are finding some of the few that are still around. Eventually those will be purged out also when we go through our spring cleaning. |
