The season of migration of whales is from December to April,
I highly recommend the sunset on the boat Cabo Rey.

We will probably wait until we get to the resort and see when the group wants to go. But probably mid week will be the target.

We are fortunate to be going to Los Cabos in March because it is whale watching season! Gray whales make the longest migration of any mammal, a 6,000 mile journey from the Bering and Chukchi Seas between Alaska and Siberia, to the warm waters of Baja California and the Sea of Cortez . They are moderately large in size, they range in length from 40 to 50 feet and can weigh up to 73,000 pounds, with males smaller than females. There are several local, top notch-whale watching tours that will bring you as close as possible to the grays and other whales off the coast of Los Cabos and they generally conduct daily excursions from January to March.

Cabo San Lucas Tours has several different whale watching tours. The one we are considering taking ourselves is The Jungle Cruise Whale Watching Excursion, http://www.cabosanlucastours.net/Jungle-Cruise-Whale-Watching.htm. It is $40.50 per person online and includes breakfast, lunch, unlimited open bar, and snorkeling gear. This is a fun tour to take for spring break and young people, or those young at heart.  There is dancing, party music, mambo lessons, and of course audience participation contests.  If you want to see whales and party too, this might be a good option for you. This tour lasts about 4 hours.

The following are excursions offered in Los Cabos as well:

    Snorkeling

    Deep Sea Fishing

    Canopy Tours (zip line)

    Scuba Diving

    Sailing

    ATV

    Boat Tours

    Bungee Jumping

    Off Road Desert Tours

    Swim with the Dolphins

    Sunset Cruises

    And much more!!
