Soap Box Slow Speed DP site

| For those that have been on the site for awhile. You have noticed that the membership has grown greatly over the last year. Plus the unique visitors and site views has almost doubled. We have tweaked the shared server we are own and have increased the memory to keep the site from dragging. But facts or facts and the secret is out. Dp has and is becoming known nationwide which is bringing more and more sexxy couples to the site. While for some its not a problem. But for our server it is. We are in the process of moving to a dedicated server in the very near future. We are not a paid site so please be patient. If we were a paid site we would have already moved to the dedicated server and be moving at warp speed. Our plans or to take some of the proceeds from the upcoming Halloween party and pay for the dedicated server. So hopefully within the month we will start the process of moving the site which is quite a bit of work as I was told. In the meantime we have taken steps to keep the site running at a fast rate. You should only see slow downs at peak hours when everyone (members and non members) are on the site. But the site is still faster than it was six months ago as we have amped up the server we are on and coded the site to move the site speed more quickly. Its just that the traffic has grown by leaps and bounds. Which all in all is not a bad thing. Plus we are working on a major announcement and with that the site traffic is getting ready to increase again. |
| Guys, just curious. Anyone experiencing problems with site speed? Two weeks ago, only this site runs like a snail. Any suggestions? thanks. I have rebooted, disk cleanup, etc. Again... only this site. thanks |
