Halloween Erotica Ball- 22nd Annual Shibari by Knotty Situations

Several guests in the past have asked if we have ever considered having a Shibari at the events. What is shibari? Shibari is a Japanese art of rope bondage, a practice of using rope to artfully and aesthetically bind a person's body. Modern Shibari emphasizes aesthetics, trust, connection, and often has an erotic component. It involves a "rigger," the person who ties the rope, and a "model," who is tied. At this past year's Purgatory, we were approached, and for those interested, please read below. 

Hello! I am Knotty Situations! I am here to bring some rope outfits to the Halloween erotica ball! This is my first time attending this party, and am very excited. I didn’t know what to expect so I do have a limited supply of rope “roughly enough to fully tie 30 people” if things go well I’ll be sure to bring more to the next event!! I travel around tying to see people light up, and get interested in shibari! Or at the very least have a fun rope “outfit” to party in! Shibari takes a LONG time to do well, and I have been doing it for years so not many people experience it like this!

Typically, I get hired as an entertainer, so please bear with me while I work out the kinks! I will have a full website up in the next week. Until then, feel free to browse my Instagram for SOME of my work. I will be bringing 5 colors that are UV, pink, green, yellow, orange, and blue. The blue does, in fact, shine under UV light, but since blue is on the UV spectrum already,  it isn’t as bright. I will also have my personal bag of rope that is and isn’t UV to use if you’d rather something out of there!
